This curriculum was designed to provide the best, most current resources possible to data-hungry parents like you! You will walk away from your birth feeling heard and empowered, knowing you made the right call for your family in the crucial moments.

This series is specifically for those planning their first birth. The class content is the same, but you'll be in a group of other parents who, like you, are preparing to be parents for the first time.

In this class, we will:

  • describe your rights and options in childbirth

  • go over hospital interventions

  • address the importance of labor support

  • practice proven-effective comfort measures

  • rehearse birthing positions

  • learn advocacy skills for you and your partner

  • discuss postpartum care

  • have the option of watching bonus breastfeeding and newborn care videos

Class Format

  • Six weeks worth of prerecorded online video lessons to be watched over four weeks

  • Four weekly Zoom sessions with the whole class and an Evidence Based Birth® Instructor to lead discussion and answer questions

  • The EBB workbook to keep you focused as you progress through the curriculum and to use as a reminder of what you've learned as you approach your birth 

  • Three months of access to the EBB Academy, complete with PDF library, audio files, and more!
